Artist Talk following 'An Hour with All-Eaters' // Jerusalem meets Berlin

Two performers, two undressed all-eaters, are totally exposed. A primal dance that uses the harmony of the body as raw material for a stream of unconventional scenes and segments. Shani Granot and Nevo Romano inquire about the cultural within the body and the visceral/body within culture. After the show we`ll get in talk with the artists.

The performance simulates a one-hour visit to an archaeological site. This archaeological site is physical, human and performative as well as real space. During the visit, the viewer can admire the smallest findings, while at the same time he finds himself in the middle of large ruins. After the performance we`ll get in talk with Shani Granot and Nevo Romano.

You can now reserve tickets (10/14 €) including free admission to the post-performance discussion directly through Theater Scoutings! (up to 1 day before the performance) Just send an email and the desired number of tickets to reservierung(at)theaterscoutings-berlin.de.

About the venue:

Dock 11

The factory level of Dock 11 in Kastanienallee in Prenzlauer Berg is a rehearsals room, teaching studio and dance stage in one. The stage programme has interdisciplinary supplements such as theatre, performance, literature, music, visual art, film and club art – however the main focal point of every performance is on purely dance elements. Together with its other premises in EDEN***** in Berlin-Pankow, Dock 11 has established itself as an important part of the Berlin dance scene. The unique combination of teaching, rehearsal and stage generates an exciting change of perspectives in both the artists and pupils, as well as among the audience.  (source: visitberlin.de)

About the Festival and the additional program:

Jerusalem meets Berlin

Based on a long term partnership between DOCK 11 EDEN***** in Berlin and Machol Shalem Dance House (MASH) in Jerusalem, the two organizations are proud to present selected dance works and performances by choreographers from Israel /(or) that have been showcased at MASH's platforms during the past two years.

This festival will be accompanied by workshops for professionals as well as non professionals from all ages, lectures, artist talks with Theater Scoutings and panel discussions. The panel discussion 'The role of culture in an era of social and demographic change' deals with the issues of ethnicity, migraton, nationality and re-examines the role and responsibility of the artistic act. Gaga classes for dancers and non professionals communicate the idea of Gaga as a healing, dynamic, ever-changing power of movement language. In Acro balance workshop the adults and young people can work on individual acrobatic movements, balance, strength and flexibility.
