INTERNATIONAL NOTICE is an artist-led project creating innovative writing around performances made on the Berlin Free Scene. In this practical and dynamic workshop, you will experiment with simple shared writing exercises to help you discover tools of self expression: How can I begin writing? How can I discover my style or fashion my perspective? How can I take my writing beyond the expected? Your writing will be compiled into an instant mini-publication in response to the performance. The workshop will be led in English but you are encouraged to write in the language of your choice. All necessary equipment will be provided. Writers of all abilities and experiences are welcome - there is something in the workshop for everyone.

The show is part of the Performing Arts Festival.

About the performance

Clown’s Houses

… a puppet theory for the human nothing

Merlin are dramatizing and demonizing their obsessions until they finally punish and liberate them in the most violent manner. They do not attempt to do existential analysis through their work. They are dramatising the modern way of living in its current form. Tragedy and Comedy. Through the dark rooms of ‘Clowns' Houses’ the loneliness of the modern man is displayed; prison-like houses, people trapped into their routines and habits, distant from their dreams.
