Meet the artist after 'Of envy.she said'
A multi-media dance performance, that examines the diminishment of the self through the concept of envy. In a dreamy monochromatic scenery the performer transcends emotional negotiation into movements and rituals. With dancer Susanne Engbo Anderson and visual artist Anne Sofie Vermund we will talk about their second collobaration and the connection between performance and media.
How do we perceive the connection between dancer and projection? How does the dancer Susanne Engbo Andersen find a choreographic connection between projection and stage? How does it feel to choreograph with media compared to other dance partners?

About the performance
Of envy.she said
Consuming and vivid, OF ENVY.SHE SAID ruminates in the depths of unwanted emotion. The piece is a multi-media dance performance, choreographed and performed by Susanne Engbo Andersen. It examines the diminishment of the self through the concept of envy. A complex emotion, often charged with being either typically or universally, unreasonable, irrational, vicious and wrong to feel, yet is able to form itself as an occupation in which one can find continuous pleasure - something that needs to grow to stay alive. In a dreamy monochromatic scenery the performer transcends emotional negotiation into movements and rituals. The piece is the second collaboration between dancer Susanne Engbo Anderson and visual artist Anne Sofie Vermund fusing dance and live-video editing.
About the artists
Susanne Engbo Andersen, Anne Sofie Vermund, We Like We
Susanne Enbo Andersen is a Danish contemporary dancer and performer, residing in Berlin since 2016. Susanne has always been able to discover expression through movement. In ‘Oure’ Denmark, she developed her performance skills. She integrated a myriad of influences into her work, including theatre, film and performance art.
Anne Sofie Vermund is a Danish scenographer and visual artist, working solo and in collaborations. Recurring themes in her work are the intersection between reality and fiction, and the relationship between spectator and work.
We like We are a collective of four classically trained musicians who adventure off the beaten track. Violin, cello, percussion and a voice is all it takes for the four women to create a sound that has a minimalistic primordial force where classical as well as experimental and improvised aspects are bound beautifully together.
