Post-Performance Discussion following LIKE FATHER LIKES SON - (part 2)
Tomer Zirkilevich’s new work deals with the conflict between fathers and sons. How can you deal with this sensible topic with a dance performance? The question can be discussed during an artist talk after the performance.
Does one have to murder his father in order to realize his own destiny? Will he always be the victim of his own folly? This questions, asked with this performance, can be further discussed with the artists during a post-performance talk. Please notice that you can visit an open rehearsal to the performance on the 16th of March.
You can now reserve tickets (10/15 €) including free admission to the post-performance discussion directly through Theater Scoutings! (up to 1 day before the performance) Just send an email and the desired number of tickets to reservierung(at)theaterscoutings-berlin.de.

About the venue:
DOCK 11
The factory level of Dock 11 in Kastanienallee in Prenzlauer Berg is a rehearsals room, teaching studio and dance stage in one. The stage programme has interdisciplinary supplements such as theatre, performance, literature, music, visual art, film and club art – however the main focal point of every performance is on purely dance elements. Together with its other premises in EDEN***** in Berlin-Pankow, Dock 11 has established itself as an important part of the Berlin dance scene. The unique combination of teaching, rehearsal and stage generates an exciting change of perspectives in both the artists and pupils, as well as among the audience. (source: visitberlin.de)

LIKE FATHER LIKES SON - (part 2)
The work deals with the confrontation between fathers and sons.It is concerned with a son’s search for identity and his inevitable clash with his father’s authority, as in the archetypal, mythical examples from the sacrifice of Isaac to the Oedipus complex. It poses the questions – does one have to murder his father in order to realize his own destiny? Will he always be the victim of his own folly?
