About the show:
Spranguage
A show on the explosive quality of language: Language divides or unites. Unlike any other art form, improv theatre breaks through language barriers in a playful way and creates connections and relationships. Tonight we will celebrate this art of communication: it's communication with and without language, with words from all over the world or words and sounds which are created in the moment. All senses are involved, ranging from silently sad to uproariously funny. In all festival languages.
About the artists:
Die Gorillas
In 1997 ten professional actors and two musicians started „Die Gorillas“ at the Ratibor Theatre in Berlin-Kreuzberg. And all of them are still working together. Meanwhile, some younger colleagues have joined us, so now there are 15 Gorillas. They specialize in improvisational theater, based on a strong interaction between actors and audience. Whatever happens on stage is based in one way or another on suggestions coming from the audience. Improv theater is direct, lively, spontaneous – every show is a one-time-experience.
