Post-Performance Discussion in English: No Exit

After the improvised piece - with restrictions similar to Sartre's 'No Exit' - the audience is invited to discuss the process and performance with the improvisers.

Pushing the limits of human creativity, improvisational theater requires the performers to be actor, author and director all at once. After the Berlin premiere of No Exit – an improvised piece with restrictions similar to Sartre's classic play – the audience is invited to discuss the process and performance with the improvisers: Lee White (CRUMBS) and Matthieu Loos (Compagnie Combats Absurdes). Moderation: Summer Banks, improviser and Berlin English Improv Network founder. IN ENGLISH.

NEW! You can now reserve tickets (10/16 €) including free admission to the post-performance discussion directly through Theater Scoutings! (up to 1 day before the performance) Just send an email and the desired number of tickets to anmeldung(at)theaterscoutings-berlin.de.

About the show:

No Exit

The unique format of this intimate, two-character improvised piece was inspired by Jean-Paul Sartre's now classic play Huis Clos, known in the English-speaking world as No Exit. Like the characters in Sartre's work, the actors in this format are stuck in a room: they must stay in the same place and events must unfold chronologically. Removing story-telling devices like flashbacks and changing locations focuses the story on the characters and their relationship. Lee White and Matthieu Loos premiered this English-language format in Toronto and then celebrated its critically-acclaimed European premiere in Leipzig in the spring. Berlin Premiere.
